The members of The Rose Gellert String Quartet are all seasoned musicians now performing together as the Ensemble-in-Residence at Langley Community School of Music. Will Chen (violin) has performed across Canada, the UK and Europe with the rising group Mainzer Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. Llowyn Ball (violin) regularly performs with the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, & Vancouver New Music. Peter Ing (viola) is a seasonal musician with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. And Ben Goheen (cello) has performed in several symphonies including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra, and in the Prince George and Kamloops Symphonies, among others.
The programme will be anchored around Haydn’s “Rider” and Dvorak’s “American” quartets, along with a selection of genre-crossing favourites.
