DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 19\, 2022\, Concerts Denman presented th
 e Aurora Piano Trio in the Denman Island Community Hall. Libby Yu (piano)\
 , Yuel Yawney\, (violin) and Sungyong Lim (cello) are top tier musicians. 
 both technically and artistically. They exhibited unity in approach and se
 emed fully aware of each other. I was impressed by how much each of them s
 eemed to take pleasure in their individual parts. Their programme was well
 -crafted for our troubled time. It seemed to be telling a story of a journ
 ey\, from bright and cheerful early Beethoven\, to hauntingly dark wartime
  feelings by Shostakovich and ending with full throttle lyrical Romanticis
 m by Mendelssohn. In other words\, this concert ended with music that is b
 alm for the soul.
